CATCH YOUR BREATH
Cardio can provide asthmatics some relief.
A study published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise says that if you struggle with asthma, you can slash your symptoms by up to 60% just by getting in half an hour of cardio twice a week. Getting your body moving reduces inflammation in your airways. This helps prevent the wheezing and shortness of breath that causes attacks. This applies to those who have exercise -induced asthma too. Also, if you do have an attack it can feel less severe. One more reason to love cardio!!!

TOUGHING IT OUT
Are you saying "Man, am I tired!"? Thinking about how you're gonna make it through the day let alone thorough a workout later? Guess what, you're not alone! We all tend to think that from time to time. I know I do. Ever wonder how those people we see on TV and magazines manage to get those bodies living their day to day lives? Here's what I think...
One thing that's important is that they want the best body and fitness that THEY can have. So many of us see the body of someone at a better fitness level and say, "That's the body I want!". So off we go on the journey to get just that. Another thing is that they are able to push past the tiredness and thoughts of "I can't" and do what needs to be done (the majority of the time) to get where they want to be. They have dedication. Dedication to hard work, diet, and exercise. Its a must. Not to mention they educate themselves so that they make smarter workout and diet decisions which helps them achieve their goals.
So what can we do? As mentioned before, we fall into the "I want that body" trap. The main problem with that is when someone sees that they aren't getting those results, they tend to become disappointed and quit! Nothing usually comes out of that except some weight gain. Why not do what the best tend do? Strive for the best "whatever" that we can have. The best body, the best fitness, the best health, the best dedication and the best whatever else we want to throw in there. Tired? How about just a 15-20 min workout instead of an hour. Once the blood and adrenaline starts pumping, that 15 min might easily turn into an hour. Also, lets get educated! With the Internet, all the magazines and classes etc., there's numerous ways to do just that so we're also able to make better workout and diet decisions. With those things, the results will come. Be happy with them. Be happy with the work put in to get them! Look at where you are now compared to you were! That's what we do!!

HOW ABOUT SOME SPORTS TALK!
UFC: Jones vs LewisComing up this weekend, one of the biggest UFC fights of the year. Better yet one of the biggest fights ever! Two friends that used to hang out and train together have now become enemies. According to interviews with the both of them, they each want to beat the crap out of each other! They say it's a matter of respect. Or is it ego, or both? We'll find out Sat 4/21/12 on PPV...
NBA:
Excuse my bias for the greatest EVER to play the game of basketball but that dunk was awesome!!
Anyways, it's that time of the year again when the chatter of who will be the leagues MVP begins. Will it be Lebron? Will it be Durant? Will Kobe still be in the running? All of those guys have winning teams, are playoff bound, and have some good stats. There's a couple guys out there that can also sneak into the running with a couple of votes. Who's your choice?

EXERCISE AND BREAST CANCER
Exercise can help improve breast cancer patients' quality of life while they undergo treatment, a new study indicates.
University of Miami researchers examined the activity levels and mental/physical health of 240 women with non-metastatic breast cancer (it hadn't spread throughout the body) who were studied 4 to 10 weeks after surgery. The women who were physically active had less depression, less fatigue and a better quality of life during cancer treatment after surgery.
Jamie Stagl, a doctoral student in clinical health psychology said in a university press release, "Women who are physically active may also have more confidence in their own ability to continue family-related, household, work-related or social activities, which bring meaning and satisfaction to their lives. This may lead to appraisals of lower fatigue, heightened quality of life and less depression."
The same researchers found that stress management improves breast cancer treatment.
